Regional Management Team

The SCCBI Joint Powers Board (JPB) has established the Regional Management Team (RMT) to manage the day-to-day activities of the SCCBI. The Chair of the RMT, or their representative, reports to the JPB.

The RMT of the SCCBI has 18 voting members (9 county supervisors and 9 consumer/family members), along with a representative from the MN Department of Human Services, and the Regional Manager.

Each county human services department has one voting member who is designated by the County Human Services Director (Faribault/Martin counties has one such member). A county designated alternate can participate and vote in the absence of the member. The County Human Services member is responsible to communicate the activities, goals, progress, and issues of the RMT to county staff including the Director; and to represent the position of their county at the RMT.

Each county has one voting mental health consumer or family member who is designated by that county's Local Mental Health Advisory Council (LAC) and approved by the County Human Services Director. If no one is designated by the Local Mental Health Advisory Council, the County Human Services Director can designate or recruit a consumer or family member (Faribault/Martin counties have one such member). The Local Mental Health Advisory Council alternate can participate and vote in the absence of the consumer member (or if no one is designated as an alternate by the Local Mental Health Advisory Council, the County Human Services Director can designate or recruit a consumer or family member). The consumer or family member is responsible to communicate the activities, goals, progress, issues of the RMT to the county's Local Advisory Council, and to represent the positions of the LAC and consumers and family members in their county. Consumer or family members of the RMT serve on the RMT for a length of time to be determined by the individual LAC.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services Adult Mental Heath Division assigns a liaison staff to the SCCBI.
